Several years ago I was out near Cat Spring, Texas looking at a Texas vineyard and trying some lovely wines with the grape growers there. On the way back their were vast fields of Bluebonnets, also known in California as Lupines, studded with yellow Coreopsis, Indian Paintbrush and other wildflowers native to Texas. I took a series of photos of this swath of color, envying the owner of the distant home overlooking such a glorious field.
